Do you have a school readiness program? What does it entail?

Yes! At Cooinda child care in Macquarie Fields, our school readiness program begins at the age of three when children are introduced to a toddler program. School readiness is the term often used to describe how ready children are socially, physically, and intellectually, to start from schooling – usually kindergarten. Our school readiness program ensures that children are building their foundational knowledge and skills.

Our programs are linked to the Early Years Learning Framework, and our primary objective is to enhance children’s learning at every opportunity.

Yes, we do provide healthy meals and the daily menu for each week is approved by NSW health. You can inform the teachers for specific dietary restrictions and food allergies. We supply foods from a variety of cultures and meals are planned to give at least 50% of the children’s daily requirements.

How do I stay informed as to the progress of my child?

Our educators at our child care in Macquarie Fields communicate with guardians/parents on a daily basis. You can also participate in your child’s learning by providing us with ideas, learning topics, and bringing resource from home to the setting as well as provide feedback both verbally and written about our curriculum. How long will it take my child to settle in your child care?

It depends on each child; some settle in on the same day, while others can take two or three weeks or even months. For children who attend the program regularly, it is likely that they will settle sooner than the children who attend a few days in a week. However, our caretakers and educators are well-trained, and they will work with your children to make the transition as smooth as possible. We also help children overcome separation anxiety and make them as comfortable as possible in our child care centres in Macquarie Fields.
